Data-driven enterprises represent a relatively new trend in MIS and organizational science literatures – as such, the way it should be approached, deployed and managed in corporate environments still needs further exploration. In this context, data science technologies may offer novel insights by enabling re-organization, administration and governance of large volumes of both structured and unstructured data. In such a thesis the objectives could be:
- Review of Big Data-related litterature relevant to modern enterprises and organisations
- Identification and assessment of suitable data-driven strategies and requirements for Big Data Management in selected areas of the industry (tourism, health, manufacturing, etc.)
- Exploration of new and potentially disruptive technologies (such as cloud-based search engines, enterprise social networking, etc.) for implementing a suitable data-driven strategy in a corporate environment of your choice
