Enterprise collaboration may take two primary forms ; inter-organizational collaboration versus intra-organizational collaboration. Each form signifies alternative types of ties which may designate different sorts of social relations between the parties involved. The thesis may undertake to define the above in detail, identify appropriate enterprise-wide IT solutions (tools and generic platforms) that facilitate such ties and/or select an appropriate platform to test a theoretical construct (i.e., tie strength).
